FIRST BLOG PASSAGE! DIY 6 Gorgeous Prom Updoos Photograph by Indira Cesarine

I found this awhile ago on MSN I think... but I thought it was pretty so I saved it, I save everything haha. So here it is:

Loose Upsweep

1. While hair is still damp, apply a wave-enhancing spray all over.
2. Gather hair into a midpony. Clip it from the bottom up. Twist and wrap the pony around the clip to cover it. Tuck the ends into the clip.
3. To keep this style soft, not stiff -- spritz your whole head with a light-hold spray.

Dressy Twist

1. Give your style hold and volume by applying a quarter-size amount of gel to wet hair; blow-dry.
2. Make a deep side part and tease the crown. Loosely put hair into a low bun; secure with an elastic.
3. Slip on a jeweled headband about 2" behind your ears, letting front pieces fall forward.

Glam Braid Updo

1. Tame frizz by rubbing a quarter-size amount of smoothing cream through hair.
2. Braid a 2"-wide section of hair from behind either ear; set aside. Braid the rest and wrap into a bun. Secure with an elastic. Wrap the first braid around your head and pin to the bun.
3. For shine, rub a dab of pomade onto hands, then pat your hands over the braid.

Pretty Pony

1. Add a quarter-size amount of shine serum all over to make your hair look glossy.
2. Brush hair into a high pony; secure with an elastic. Wrap a 1"-wide piece of hair from the pony around the base, then pin.
3. Tease your pony all over, then apply hairspray to smooth down stray hairs.

Soft Half-Up

1. Wrap 1"-wide sections of hair around a 1" barrel iron. Take just the front part of hair and brush into a high pony. Secure with an elastic.
2. Spritz hairspray all over to keep waves from falling flat.
3. Slip a hair accessory over your ponytail.

The High Updo

1. Spray a root lifter all over hair to add volume. Then tease around the crown.
2. Gently smooth hair into a low pony, then twist it into a knot; secure with pins that match your hair color.
3. Place the flower accessory over the bobby pins on top of the bun.
