watercolors.

i'm absolutely in love with this dress. the watercolors remind me of a monet painting; the blend of blues and greens and whites reminds me of the water-lily paintings.

bryan and i kind of have a running joke about my clothing. since we bike to work every day together, my attire depends completely on:
a) if my bum will be exposed,
b) if i will get the equivalent of rugburn on my thighs (yes, this has unfortunately happened from trying to bike in a pencil skirt - i have scars from it!)
c) if my footwear will make it impossible to stop - booties are notorious for this.
d) the ability to stay at a comfortable temperature.
fortunately for me, today's outfit was simply perfect for riding in - the skirt had enough movement for me to freely move my legs, and the length was just right. the shoes were a completely different story; i almost cut my toes off tried to get into my clips.

i know many of you don't have to worry about commuting to work by bike, but bryan thought it might be interesting (for you out there that do ride!) to rate each outfit on it's ease for bicycle transportation. thoughts? sound fun? stupid?

i'd give today a 7. as much as i love this pretty dress, i like keeping my toes even more.
