bike-ability: this was not pretty. i almost sprained my ankle, and could barely fit my shoes in my clips. i'll give it a 2 out of 10, just because i didn't fall.

this outfit was totally inspired by a friend's ex-girlfriend. her and i went out one friday, and she was wearing a slip as a dress - and it wasn't overly i'm-wearing-lingerie obvious. she had worn the slip cinched with a belt. it was totally polished and i absolutely loved it. my dress isn't a slip (as that'd probably result in me being removed from my office), but i think this dress has a lot of lingerie-esque qualities; it's semi-sheer, delicate, and floaty. the belt in the outfit i was inspired by was a little flashy - i paired the dress with a more substantial leather belt to tone down the romantic feel of the outfit. i threw my hair in milkmaid braids because it hadn't been washed in a couple of days (i've been so busy that i've literally had to put "take shower" on my daily to-do lists) - i actually liked the way that it all came together!
