ah, what a weekend. after some wedding dress fittings that were kind of disappointing (let's just say that i put on a little bit of weight since my last appointment), i've decided to really start getting my butt in to shape again. don't get me wrong - i by no means think i'm overweight or anything, but i've always been very into exercising; mostly running and cycling and lifting (weights, that is). with the influx of school-work and wedding stuff, it's kind of taken a backseat. i only go to the gym once a week or so, and i definitely haven't had time to run at night. my body feels off when i'm not active; i feel more tired, lethargic, and bloated.
anywho - i've made it a goal of mine to run at least 4-5 times a week (or partake in some form of exercise). bryan and i go on two different routes (a 3 miler and a 4 miler). we also went riding/hiking along the wissahickon river on sunday; it was actually quite an adventure. we were meeting some friend's at devil's pool, a swimming hole, and got some...bad directions. instead of taking the bike trail, we ended up carrying our bikes about .75 miles on a hiking trail.
i'm always curious how other people stay active. what do you do for exercise? i'd really like to take up swimming, but finding a pool in downtown philadelphia can be difficult.
