i am a notorious packrat with clothing and shoes. this skirt is from...high school graduation. i wore it one time and didn't touch it again for 5 years. every few months or so, i sort through my clothing and try to figure out what i'm okay with getting rid of. you know how those guides for organizing say, "if you haven't worn it in 6 months or it doesn't fit, get rid of it"? not happening in this girl's closet. here's my reasoning - my weight fluctuates like a yo-yo. my clothing ranges from a size 2 to a size 8, and i'd prefer not to have to buy more clothing when i put on a couple o' pounds, thankyouverymuch. secondly, trends change so quickly (as do my personal preferences), and what i may find unattractive now might become one of my favorite pieces in a year.
so there. that's my reasoning for currently filling 1 walk-in closet, 2 dressers, and 2 garment racks with clothing (half or so is vintage). don't judge.
anywho - this outfit is a bit colorful for me, but i actually really like it. the teal of the skirt somehow matches the teal in the shirt perfectly (i know you noticed. right? right?!) and the length was perfect for riding in.
