two dames togged to the bricks: a woodland edition

dress: vintage
belt: vintage
shoes: loeffler randall

two dames togged to the bricks is an outfit swap/collaboration between starr crow of a thought is the blossom and myself. we send each other pretty things, and style them. you can read more about it here, or ask me any questions on my formspring.

i know this is such a simple outfit, but i think the dress really deserves to be highlighted. simple braids are sensible in the heat, and allows the pretty little buttons on the collar to show. a suede belt defines the waist, and reminds me of something a milkmaid might wear. i love how the shoes look like they have little petals on them - perfect with the dress, right? the flower print matched the flowers that grew in the yard behind our cabin in the poconos, and i knew i had to include them. it's so dreamlike and lush there, and i really think it translated well in the photographs. it's much different than the photographs i normally take; much more saturated and shadowy, but i like it. it's almost mysterious.
