bryan and i went to an oktoberfest block party ("bloktoberfest") this weekend, and what would be more appropriate than a traditional dirndl? costume-y, i know, but i tried to dress it down a bit with long sleeves and very non-traditional t-strap mary janes. the festival was very disappointing; we were promised a beer stein which turned out to be a plastic mug, and the lines were insane. we waited over an hour just to get our order from a food truck. it ended up being so hectic that we left early, but apparently the festival ran out of beer and ended up serving PBR (blech).
