Oh no, this is going to be such a crap entry because of two things:
1) I don't really eat Western food in Hong Kong (or in Asia, generally). I mean, what's the point? Once in a while, I guess I'll want to eat truffles or a steak, but usually, I'm quite happy with the selection of Asian dishes here.
And if there's anything I really don't eat in Hong Kong, it's Italian food. Forgive me for being a snob, but I did live in Italy, and after that, Italian food outside of the country just doesn't really cut it.
2) I don't eat in Soho (South of Hollywood Road). I used to live in Soho when it was still shops selling herbs and second-hand electric appliances. I moved there because of Tony Leung's character in Chungking Express, who had a flat by the escalator. Now, Soho is this horrible place full of overpriced restaurants and bars catering to tourists and expats. All the cool old people are gone or being pushed out.
During the last year of my residence in the area, I had to call the police almost every night to complain about the drunken shouting and loud music. Some drunks broke down the front door to my building, too. It made me miss the good old days when all I had to worry about was homeless people trying to squat on my roof.
Anyway, I'm much, much happier where I live, and I'm glad I don't have to go to Soho if I can help it, although I do visit some of the uncles and aunties in the area once in a while.
So, I don't eat in Soho, and I don't eat pasta, but my friend who is pregnant was craving Cafe Graham's food, so I went with her out of fear. Pregnant women are really scary.
The thing is, Cafe Graham is a perfectly serviceable place run by really lovely people. The chef is also the owner, and she is really cool. The food is reasonably priced, with entrees ranging from around HKD60 to HKD90. There's also a decent selection of cakes and pies for dessert.
Er...another reason this entry is crap. I forgot to take a picture of the food before my friend and I ate. Sorry.
She had the beef ribs (thumbs up, according to her), and I had the smoked duck with angel hair pasta. It was okay.
Cafe Graham is on Graham Street in Soho, Central. You'll have to take the escalator to Staunton Street and walk down to Graham.
