Another Chance to Reach Too High

Little dude was busy trying to get out. Wonder where he was hoping to go.

And here's my little monkey, Chabi, wondering if I'll ever stop bothering her with my cuddles. If you're wondering why her tummy fur is so short, it's because she had surgery to remove her uterus after she contracted pyometra. Chabi was thrown away by a petshop when she got sick, and a very kind vet operated on her and saved her life, and then I adopted her. Would you believe she used to be so grungy and skinny and desperate-looking? Now look at that spoiled little princess. I even wipe her butt after she makes a poo (although neither of us likes it very much)!

You know, isn't that just the awful thing about beauty? It has privilege, but it's based on such a shaky foundation. Because Chabi is pretty, she was valuable to the petshop owner. Then when she got sick, she was just thrown away because her value was dependent on her looks only. And yet, the vet saved her because she was too pretty to be put down. How horrible it is to have a type of privilege that is dependent on others' perception of you.
