All the Lights Go Down

January is packed with tons of things to do, folks! I've been a bit neglectful about writing about upcoming events. There was a heavy metal/rock music festival type thing on December 11th, but I don't like camping so I didn't go. Honestly, if I can't wear high heels and keep clean, I don't want to be there. Now, it's not that I'm afraid of nature. I'm not afraid of insects (except for cockroaches), and I actually like eating grasshoppers. We grew vegetables and raised pigs, geese, chickens, pigeons and goats when I was living in Manila, and in Taiwan, I lived in a tiny village and spent a lot of time wandering around the mountainside, and Toronto is so primitive. I just don't need to do it again, I chose to live in Hong Kong for a reason (although, actually, Hong Kong has a lot of nature).

Anyway, here are some things you can look forward to this month (aside from the Fotanian, which I already wrote about last time):

Cloth Haven flea market on Sunday, January 9th, from 12 noon to 6 pm

Luchen China Tour (with Sushi Robot) on Friday, January 14th, at Hidden Agenda.

And on that same weekend, Stage-Tube.com is holding an independent music show thing. You know, again, I urge people to support Hidden Agenda and independent music. These poor kids are seriously starving, and as someone who once could only afford to eat peanut butter for months, living for four years in a decaying flat with no appliances (no refrigerator, stove, etc.) except for an electric kettle, I can really sympathize. Your money will help feed these kids and help them continue making music.

And I know this has no place, really, in this blog, but I couldn't resist putting up these two pictures of Song Seung-heon from Dramabeans. I know I'm a nasty old auntie, but my God! My! God! When am I ever going to get something like this in the shower (minus the Speedos)? Is there any chance that any of my future ex-husbands will look like this? Lord, tell me!

By the way, I'm really liking that hairstyle on men (Hyun Bin has the same one), I hope more guys grow their hair out like this.
