bryan's been home since mid-day friday and doesn't have work today, so it feels like we're having a mini vacation. we took a trip to visit my dad on saturday; he lives about an hour from philadelphia and has an insane work schedule, so it's hard to see him sometimes. of course, i had to work in some thrift store visits on the way there and i didn't leave empty handed. i ended up finding a mink shawl, missoni sweater and shell set, another fur hat (this one is more like a fur crown) and an amazing red circle skirt. we stopped to have lunch at iron hill brewery and then visited zern's (check out that sweet graphic design). i'm not sure if farmer's markets are an east-coast-only thing, but i absolutely love them. i like to describe zerns's as the place where you can buy vegetables, livestock, howling wolf shirts, expired beauty supplies, and get a haircut. it's quite an experience!

i had the hardest time dressing around these tights; before, i gathered some inspiration from the lovely jenloveskev. while i was rummaging around in the thrift store a couple of weeks ago, i found this blouse and the first thing i thought to pair it with were these crazy-ass tights. it's a little loud looking (for me, at least) but i'm sorta diggin' it.

ps: just wanted to let you know that if you have any questions that you wanted to ask me (camera settings, etc.), you can ask on formspring or shoot me an email (veronikaplacek@gmail.com). it's so difficult to respond to questions in the comments, and i'm looking at implementing disqus so we can chat a bit more.
