It turns out that an expat chick was sexually assaulted on Bonham Road at New Year's Eve very late at night (or early in the morning). Bonham Road is nowhere near the escalators, so I was a bit puzzled by the comment that it was "Bonham Road near the escalators" but whatever. The attacker was a Chinese male, and he didn't rape her, not that sexual assault isn't terrible, too.
But anyway, to go from these facts to hysterical "OMG DARK-SKINNED MEN ARE GANG RAPING WOMEN" e-mails is just so stupid and racist, I can't even comment further because I feel like it's making ME stupid and racist, too.
Anyway, again, I hope that this makes people think first before creating racist fearmongering, but you know, somehow, I doubt it.
