first off, a big thank you to all of the lovely ladies who guest blogged for tick tock vintage! i'm sure you loved their travel posts, as i know i did. if you haven't had the chance to visit their blogs, be sure to stop by!
i'm finally home, after 30 hours of total flight time, a ton of bug bites (some kind of suspicious looking), and a case of sleep deprivation. i know you probably weren't expecting an outfit post right away, but i'm still sorting through tons of pictures (i took over 1,000 photos) and need to finish up editing a bunch. i'll be sharing pictures over the course of the next week or two. i thought i'd start off by sharing what i wore on the first day i was in hong kong. it was the hottest day of the trip (in the 70's and very humid), so i wanted to wear something light weight and breathable. unfortunately, this skirt wrinkles like no other, so please excuse my state of dishevelment!
we were lucky enough to have stayed in a hotel right on the edge of kowloon park, easily the most beautiful park that i saw while i was in hong kong. it was chock full of gorgeous tropical flowers and plants, and had a bush maze, aviary, two pools, and many ponds. early in the morning, people filled the park to do tai chi and circulation exercises. it was extremely serene and peaceful, and one of my favorite ways to start my morning while i was there.
my demonstration lesson is tomorrow, which is the last big step before the school decides if they want to hire me or not. i'm going to be spending most of the day digging through books at barnes and noble for the lesson - i'm going to focus on making predictions while reading. i have another interview before the demonstration lesson, so i need to make sure that everything is finished tonight. my jet-lagged body doesn't think this is the best idea, and keeps trying to fall asleep. i foresee huge mugs of coffee and copious amounts of red bull in my future.
