The tragedy in Japan touches our hearts. To help our Japanese friends, we have decided to produce a special Unikko-patterned fabric bag and to donate the proceeds from the sales of the bag to Japan through the Red Cross. The cherished classic will be printed in the colours of the Finnish and Japanese flags – blue, red and white. The new, unique colourway was co-created by Kristina and Emma Isola. The bags will be available towards the end of April in Marimekko’s own shops in Finland as well as Berlin, London, Stockholm and Malmö. All sales proceeds will go to help the victims of the disaster. Bags will also be donated for sale in Japan.
