under the weather.

well, this weekend was a huge bust. bryan and i had giant plans of going up to new york/new jersey after four weeks of nothing but schoolwork, but my sinuses had other plans for me. i've been on and off with a cold (possibly allergies?) for the past couple of weeks and finally thought that the sniffling and sneezing had subsided. not so much. i had about 2 days of being healthy before my body turned on me and decided that a mini-vacation was not in the cards for us. after taking all the sinus and cold medicine that CVS had to offer and still not improving, bryan had made his mind up that we weren't going. i was looking forward to walking around new york city as the leaves were changing so badly - this was the only weekend that we had open for the rest of october.

however...i told him i was feeling better (a big lie) and we ended up leaving philadelphia late on saturday. as i realized that i wasn't going to feel better without serious medicine, i agreed to go to an emergency care clinic. turns out that i had a pretty severe sinus infection; they're easier to get once you have had sinus surgery (i did at 14), which explains why the over-the-counter stuff wasn't working. bryan was able to see his friends from home, and i lounged around his grandma's house reading ladies' home journal and pretending that i could taste the peach-pecan strudel i was eating.

as you can imagine, wearing anything other than sweatpants and a t-shirt was out of the question, hence the lack of outfit posts. i'm feeling 10x better today so i'll be sure to post something tomorrow. till then, perhaps you can accept this picture of henry instead?

kristofferson came to visit!

we're watching my mom's pup, mitzy, for a couple of weeks and i'm already completely in love with him. we have a pomeranian named oliver, who looks just like ash from the fantastic mr. fox. in the movie, ash's cousin kristofferson comes to visit, so i started calling mitzy "kristofferson" because he's white, has tall legs, and is the cousin from out-of-town.

this probably makes no sense to you if you haven't seen the movie yet (and if you haven't you really should!). i also call him my little panda, since his whole eye area is dark and he has the chubbiest little legs.

i swear i'm not completely insane.
