here's the second week of two dames togged to the bricks, an outfit swap and collaboration project between myself and starr crow from a thought is the blossom. be sure to check out last week's post!
starr sent me this absolutely gorgeous dress - can you see the lace on the bodice? and the little rhinestone buttons? it's the exact kind of dress that you'd find in my closet at home. i'm a huge fan of leather accessories, and i thought that the rich browns would really pop against the baby blue fabric. the belt cinched the waist of the dress, and gave me a defined waistline, while the t-strap shoes fit with the sweetness of the overall outfit. you can usually find me toting around my giant catch-all of a bag, but the wicker purse screamed summer to me. after putting it all together, i felt very 50's - like i should be in a soda shop or something - so i added the denim jacket to kind of toughen things up (butttttt because it was so ridiculously hot, i ended up taking it off after the pictures). the dress is very sheer, so i had to wear a long camisole underneath.
i absolutely love the way that starr styled this dress - i never would have thought of wearing it as a shirt! i have no idea how she fit all of the fabric under the skirt; you would never be able to tell that it's a dress. go and check out the details of her outfit, you definitely won't be disappointed.
