a summer of sundresses.

dress: vintage
belt: vintage
boots: vintage

it is so freaking hot here that i'm almost at a loss as to what to wear. i know this probably isn't the most office appropriate outfit, but i've been drenched in sweat from the 15 minute ride to work (lovely, yes). i figure that if my dress is longer than my fingertips, i'm in the clear.

if you're a vintage seller (or a vintage collector), i'm sure you've used oxy clean at least once to spruce up something you've found in musty estate-sale basement or on the floor in goodwill (...just me? anyone?). i use it all the time to remove stains and funky smells, and usually the clothes escape with no damage whatsoever. this dress, unfortunately, wasn't so lucky. after i washed it, the dress ended up being covered in these weird blue splotches. the flowers kind of disguise the stains but it's not something i'd feel right selling. so i kept it! it's actually the perfect summer dress; lightweight cotton, sleeveless, and loose.

any summer staples in your wardrobe?
