this is the first (and possibly last?) time that i've posted pictures of myself in pants on this blog. as you can probably tell from all of my previous posts, i pretty much never wear pants...ever. unless you include leggings while i'm cleaning the house. pants just don't jive with my body like skirts or a dress do, and i usually feel super self-conscious when i'm wearing them. however, today was miserable and rainy and i wasn't looking forward to the chilly ride to school with just tights to protect my legs. i dug this pair of trousers out from the back of my closet (they're about 2 years old and still had the tags on them) and decided i'd make it work. i think the feminine blouse and the over-the-top wedges were my security blanket(s) and made me feel a lot more comfortable.
i was searching for a very specific kind of blazer, and just recently found exactly what i was looking for: very fitted, short(er) sleeves and a grayish-brown color. to this, i wanted to add a fur collar, and use this as my lightweight fall coat. i was very inspired by this lovely lady, but i'm not sure i could pull of the super-tight collar. i ended up purchasing both pieces for 5 smackaroos each, and just sewing the collar on. i love it!
today's outfit post was a bit late, no? the weather has been soggy and gross lately, and bryan isn't up for taking pictures in the rain (and neither am i). everything should be back on schedule tomorrow morning.
