this sweater was one of the gems i dug out of a thrift store yesterday. it's absolutely ridiculous, but i couldn't pass it up; it almost looks like angora with large glitter threads woven throughout. obviously throwing a giant pearl collar on was the next logical step. pictures don't capture it that well, but there's some seriously sparkling going on over here. i'm debating if i should make the sleeves a bit slimmer. whenever i wear largely over-puffed sleeves i feel like i look like i'm wearing football pads under my clothing (though this would make a very chic football uniform, no?)
jon and i are heading to an estate sale today and it looks wildly promising. there's supposed to be four floors, a carriage house, and a garage absolutely full of stuff. i've been on the hunt for a small bar cart, embroidered pillowcases, fancy hats, antique frames, and of course, pretty vintage dresses.
