well, yesterday's estate sale was a bust. there were indeed 4 floors, but two of them were filled thigh-high with junk. i was wading around through papers, dolls, hat boxes, anything you can imagine. it was not my most glamorous moment. the house was such a mess that it was impossible to actually focus on just one thing. what clothing was left was completely destroyed and i didn't want to touch it without gloves (it was really that gross). it was kind of a shame; the house itself was really beautiful. it was an old farmhouse and the floors were just gorgeous.
today's estate sale was a bit better. steph and i went to new jersey bright and early. there wasn't as much clothing as i'd hoped, but we still left with some good pieces (including a fur collar for steph!). one of them i'll be debuting sometime this week, and i think i need to dry clean the others. there were tons of barrister cabinets (what i store my shoes in); this lady had quite a collection!
