i found this dress at beacon's closet when i went up to new york city in february. i'm actually not the biggest fan of polka dots; i think i liked them just a bit too much in high school and am sort of sick of them now (too much of a good thing, i guess!). however, i loved the plum color, oversized collar, and little bow. the dress was in pretty rough shape when i picked it up. the hem was falling out, the smocking in the back was very loose, and worst of all - the collar was an awful shade of light purple. i guess the color runs very easily. i had to take a very small sponge brush, a big cup of bleach, and lots of plastic tupperware lids (to stop the bleach from seeping through) and carefully remove the color from the collar and bow. it went much better than i had expected!
