Pinks and purples are IN this Spring/Summer! I have found two gorgeous shades from Nubar that are my must haves for the sunny season.

A gorgeous light bubblegum pink that suits every skin tone. Extremely easy to apply and to remove. It also dried in record time which i was very impressed with!

A stunning light purple with pink tones. A little thinner consistency but builds up easily.

Nubar Baby Blue - Perfect Chanel RIVA Dupe!

Although pastels aren't usually Winter colours, this year is different. Baby blue is the must have colour this Winter! Many great brands have brought out there own versions. Of course Chanel has the most expensive (Riva) but if you cannot justify spending £22 on a nail polish then i have the answer....Nubar's Baby Blue!

This icy pale 'barely there' blue is beautiful, i love pastels and this is one of the prettiest.
The application is perfect after two coats.

At just £8 it's a must have shade which is perfect for all seasons!

Nubar Venetian Glass + Finest Silks Collection Swatches

Nubar are always bringing out fabulous new collections. Two of their newest collections are the 'Finest Silks' and 'Venetian Glass'.

Finest Silks:
Traveling the Silk Road for inspiration, nubar introduces Finest Silks, a collection of eight luxuriously silky shades which provide complete coverage in two coats.

Effortlessly feminine with a thoroughly modern palette, these lovely new shades flatter every finger and lend themselves to the fluid, graceful silhouettes see on runways around the world.

Just as women love the shine and drape of silk, the love the sophistication of a classic nail polish. The shades of Finest Silks collection range to be universally appealing and beautiful on every woman.

There are some really lovely colours in this collection, if you love your neutrals then these are perfect!

Venetian Glass:

Get set to shimmer this winter with the Venetian Glass collection from Nubar.
The 8 colours capture the flawless craftsmanship of the ancient handmade glass of Venice. Each autumnal shade contains an opaque glass-flecked shimmer to give a delicious metallic finish. Unlike other metallic polishes that can look streaky and leave brush marks, Nubar’s ne w foil polishes use micro glitter and metallic pigment to achieve a smooth metal finish for your nails.

Nubar 2010 Top Coat Swatches + Review

This top coat is absolutely beautiful - i have so many nail polishes but i have never seen anything like this. I have glittery nail polishes, but this is something different - it has flecks of pearlescent flakes mixed in it. It reminds of that Goldslick vodka with the gold particles. So pretty!
I applied two coats over a french manicure for a stunning but subtle effect. It reflects the light creating a multitude of beautiful colours including pink, green, gold, orange, blue and many more. Almost like the colour of petrol.

All these photos are taken in natural lighting with no flash to get the true colours.

Below i added 4 coats of 2010 over Nubars Peacock Feathers, using a dark colour really sets off the topcoat making it even more amazing in my opinion! Even after applying 4 coats it dried quickly and built up nicely.

Depending on the angle and lighting the topcoat changes colour.

Below i applied two coats over Chanel 527 - i really loved the effect it created.

This topcoat is a must have! I know it has already sold out on the website but has just been re-stocked, so i would highly recommend getting your 'claws' on it now :)

Fruit Salad Nails - Fruity Manicure!

These nails are so OTT but i love them! They kind of remind me of Pimms on hot summers day :)
They are pretty simple to do, but a little time consuming! These definitely aren't everyday nails but it's great to do if you want the Wow factor!

All you need is:
Nail polish colour of your choice
False nail glue
Fimo fruit slices

 Directions:
♥ Apply a base coat, then two coats of your colour choice (wait for each coat to dry before applying the next).
♥ Apply a generous amount of false nail glue on your nail tips, leave to become 'tacky' for a few seconds then start applying your fruit slices. The fruit slices should already come sliced, but you can get them in tubes and slice them yourself if you prefer.
♥ Keep gently pressing the fruit slices down onto your nail so they don't stick up too much on the sides.
♥ Then you can choose to apply a top coat.

Extremely easy and I'm sure there are endless possibilities to what design you could use!
I picked up my fimo slices from ebay - a seller in Hong Kong was selling 200pc for 65p inc shipping!! So cheap. Here is the link: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/shunshineseller

Violet Sparkle Nails and Candy Nails

I have been experimenting with my new Nubar Nail Art Pens. I had a little rattle of my brain and came up with these two ideas and i have to say i'm quite chuffed with myself!
The pens were so easy to use, both literally took me a few minutes with not even one mistake!

First up are my violet sparkle nails (I do love a bit o'bling!)
The Purple Glitter pen is my favorite, it comes out so evenly and surprisingly very easy to apply. After applying Nubar - Isis Purple, i started in the corner of my nails and brought the lines outwards. I started thicker at the ends and made the tips more gradient. I loved the results!

I wasn't sure how i was going to use the Hot Pink Pen - i can up with this candy stripe effect. Using Nubar 'Oh Baby Pink' underneath. I applied the Hot Pink pen in quick lines - this has a very striking effect and is much more vibrant off camera.

I am very impressed by these nail varnish pens. They come in two different types -
The Striper ~ £4.75
The 2Way Pen ~ £5.95

I think these are fabulous, even if your a novice like me!
What do you think? Do you like 'jazzing' up your nails?

Maili Blue is from the Carrie/New York collection and is such a beautiful colour. Very shimmery and eye-catching. A cool toned sapphire blue that is a summer must have!

RRP: £8

NOTD: Nubar - Hot Pink

Above: Nubar - Hot Pink
It's such a gorgeous day out today so i wanted to sport some super bright neon nails.
Neon's are definitely 'In' this summer, with many of the big nail brands bringing out a range of them. Nubar have bought out the Get Hot collection. Hot Pink is such an amazing neon, this is by far the best one i have come across. Unlike most other neon's where you have to apply at least three coats and sometimes a white base coat to achieve a non-sheer finish, with Nubar i only had to use two coats! I was honestly pleasantly surprised and now i want the whole collection. I have already had so many compliments today about my nails!

NOTD: Nubar ~ Orange Cream Nail Polish Swatch + Gold Beaded Cuff By Fiona Paxton

Above: Nubar ~ Orange Cream.
This beautiful summery colour was the official nail polish for London Fashion Week! And no wonder, it's right on trend and goes with just about anything.

The texture is gorgeous although sometimes a little streaky - nothing a third coat can't sort out but i generally only needed to do two coats. I had so many compliments wearing this - it is such an unusual colour, i don't have another colour like it in my collection.

RRP: £8

I also wanted to show you my gorgeous gold beaded cuff by Fiona Paxton. As soon as i saw this cuff i had to get it, i absolutely love it!

It's so unusual, there is one tighter chain which keeps it on - then the rest drape down your arm. Fiona Paxton has some really gorgeous pieces, if you love statement jewellery then definitely check her out.

RRP: £62.40
