In depth Look Into Foxy Locks Extensions - Quality, Thickness, Wefts, Clips + Shine. Review

I wanted to share an in depth look at Foxy Locks Extensions, there are so many different kinds of extensions out there that i wanted to show you what makes Foxy Locks amazing.
One of the great things about Foxy Locks is that they are made soley for Foxy Locks, meaning you can't get the same anywhere else which means you will always be getting the same high quality product from a trusted retailer.

There are lots of different factors that determine high quality hair extensions, as soon as you receive your extensions you will know what kind of quality they are just by touching them.
I will be showing #1 Jet Black and #60 Light Ash Blonde - the darkest and the lightest colour from Foxy Locks, to show you the quality is not compromised by the colour.

The Hair Quality
Foxy Locks are 100% human Remy hair - this is the highest quality hair on the market. All the cuticles of the hair are running in the same direction which means they are tangle free and silky soft to touch!

The Hair Shine
The great thing about human hair extensions compared to synthetic is that they look natural against your own hair. Synthetic hair usually has a very unnatural 'plastic' shine to it. Remy human hair has a beautiful natural sheen that shows the hair is extremely healthy. They completely transform any hair!

The Clips
After lots of research these are the best clips, they are small yet sturdy with a silicone strip that grabs onto your natural hair to stop them slipping. The silicone also cushions the hair for minimal damage. They are sewn tightly to the weft to keep them in place.
The Thickness
Foxy Locks aim was to supply some of the thickest hair extensions on the market, allowing woman all over the world to feel ultra glamorous with their new thicker hair. Foxy Locks offer two different kinds of thickness at this time, depending on what you are trying to achieve.
The difference is only the weight. All the extensions are the same high quality.

If your hair is fine and/or you are looking for mainly length and some volume then Foxy Locks 120grams set should be suitable for you, this amount of hair is suited to finer hair as it should be all you need to get volume and length. The 120g are also great for woman with curly hair as once curled they appear thicker.

If you are looking for lots volume as well as length or your hair is naturally thick then Foxy locks 160grams should be for you, this set provides even more hair. It will blend in with naturally thick hair and create lots of volume for all hair types.

The Wefts
Foxy Locks come with 10 pieces as standard. The wefts have been thoroughly thought out to be suitable for all head shapes, hair types and for the ultimate blending. The more wefts you have the better your hair extensions will blend as you are evenly spreading the wefts across your head. The wefts are sewn tightly to prevent minimal shedding and to keep them sitting close to your head once clipped in.

The Ends
Foxy Locks are always improving their hair extensions, the ends are a big factor in making extensions look natural. The ends are very natural looking and have the fullness needed to make them look thick and seamless with your hair.

The Results
Super thick natural looking hair extensions of the highest quality!

The Best Hair Brushes - Tested

I love Denman brushes - i have been using them for years, they were always recommended to me by Hairdressers. They are known as the 'Hairdressers brush' after all!
They are amazing quality and last forever, i always get Denman brushes and if you watch my videos you will know the D3 styler is my companion :)

The best brushes and what to use them for:-

For Salon Results:
Above: Head Hugger DHH4
The Head Hugger is one of Denmans newest brushes - i got the largest barrel (53mm) as i have long hair and i want to achieve lots of volume. It has Ceramic-coated barrels, which retain heat, enable damage-free styling. The hourglass shaped barrel 'hugs' the contour of the head and provides extra volume and root-lift. Perfect for volumising longer, thicker hair.
£7.83

For 'Do It Yourself' Volume:

Above: DCR4 - Extra Large Boar Bristle Ceramic Radial
My personal favorite barrel brush as the bristles really grab your hair and make creating volume with a blowdryer easy work. 41mm Radial natural bristle brush. The ceramic-coated barrel, implanted with natural boar bristle, ensures that the hair is kept smooth and shiny. Velvet-touch handle provides comfort, balance and control during blow-drying. This is the largest barrel size of it's range and has been created with longer, thicker hair styles in mind. If your hair is shorter i recommend buying a smaller barrel.
£9.78

For Everyday Brushing:

Above: D83 - Large paddle brush
My trusty hairbrush that has been with me for years! I love this brush and use it everyday. I do brush my hair when it's wet, i know many people will say this is very bad for your hair - but personally i do not agree. My hair is like a birds nest after i wash it so i have to brush, if i use a comb it hurts a lot. I have been brushing my hair with a large paddle brush for years and the only breakage my hair has is from a flat iron.
It is perfect for gently grooming long, thick hair. Ball-ended nylon pins are set into an air-cushioned natural rubber pad to  smooth and straighten the hair. The matt finish handle provides grip and control.
£8.26

For Backcombing/Teasing:

Above: Denman D3 styler - Wild Dewberry
The classic D3 styler is another one of my hair brushes i have been using for years. I featured it in many of my videos, below is my video showing how to create volume using your D3:

Denman recently bought out a new range of scented stylers which are so gorgeous! For me the D3 is the perfect brush for backcoming.
£6.94

For Straightening:

Above: D79 - Thermoceramic Straightening Brush
This brush works really well, it's easy to use with a blowdryer and left my hair straight, silky and my layers textured! It has soft boar bristles which make it really easy to glide through the hair. For rapid straightening performance during blow-drying. The natural boar bristles gently grip the hair and smooth the cuticle for a straight, glossy and manageable look.
£9.35

For Hair Extensions:
Above: D80L - Large nylon bristle grooming brush
This brush is perfect for grooming your hair extensions (human or synthetic). It has non-static nylon bristles that are gentle on the hair but also remove knots making your extensions very soft. This brush can also be used on your natural hair for everyday use.
£10.73

For Your Handbag:
Above: D3 mini keyring brush
I must have a brush in my handbag - especially on a night out! Denman have brought out a teeny D3 that is perfect for your bag. I have one in my handbag and one on my car keys. So cute!
£2

Although Denman are salon professional brushes they are very affordable, especially for the quality and versatility. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Maybelline ColorSensational Pearl Lipsticks Swatches + Review

I picked these up after seeing the advert the other night, the colour range looked amazing so i couldn't resist - i bought Kiss Pearl and Delicate Pearl.

Above: Kiss Pearl 832

Above: Delicate Pearl 812

They are quite sheer lipsticks (especially Delicate Pearl) so they need building up, unless you like a subtle application. They are very shimmery and the colours look gorgeous on. I find that some Maybelline lipsticks can be quite drying but these aren't at all - in fact they are quite moisturising.

These will definitely be my 'go to' lipsticks now!

I picked mine up from Boots as they were all sold out at Superdrug.

Nubar 2010 Top Coat Swatches + Review

This top coat is absolutely beautiful - i have so many nail polishes but i have never seen anything like this. I have glittery nail polishes, but this is something different - it has flecks of pearlescent flakes mixed in it. It reminds of that Goldslick vodka with the gold particles. So pretty!
I applied two coats over a french manicure for a stunning but subtle effect. It reflects the light creating a multitude of beautiful colours including pink, green, gold, orange, blue and many more. Almost like the colour of petrol.

All these photos are taken in natural lighting with no flash to get the true colours.

Below i added 4 coats of 2010 over Nubars Peacock Feathers, using a dark colour really sets off the topcoat making it even more amazing in my opinion! Even after applying 4 coats it dried quickly and built up nicely.

Depending on the angle and lighting the topcoat changes colour.

Below i applied two coats over Chanel 527 - i really loved the effect it created.

This topcoat is a must have! I know it has already sold out on the website but has just been re-stocked, so i would highly recommend getting your 'claws' on it now :)

Product Rave: Face Atelier Ultra Foundation, Cruelty Free Gorgeousness!

Face Atelier is my product rave of the moment! I absolutely adore this foundation. I personally prefer matte full coverage foundation, although this is not like that so i was quite surprised at how much i loved it. It has great coverage but it's not 'cakey', it feels silky and blends easily.  It can be built up for a more matte coverage.

My shade is 'Wheat', i originally sampled 'Sand' but now winter has started to set in, this shade is much more suited to my paler skin.
As you can see from the above photo my skin looks smoother and my completion has become much more even without looking 'caked'.
Face Atelier is cruelty free which makes me so happy! I am so pleased that not only is it a fantastic foundation but not one animal was harmed in the making. Kudos to you FaceAtelier!! You can read up more about it on Peta.org
It comes with a designer price tag of £32 for 30ml, but a little goes a really long way. I can see this lasting me months and months. It really is worth it, for me anyway as i use it everyday.
Have you tried it? What do you think?
