carry all.

i've put together a little tutorial for the delightful dozen blog for this satchel. it's made from heavy canvas and scrap leather, and i think i might be addicted to making them. my mom is definitely getting one, and my sister is on the list too. perhaps i'll have to make one for a giveaway on tick tock vintage, if it's of any interest to y'all...

milkmaid braids.

i've had a couple of requests to show how i do my milkmaid braids, so here's my go at it. it's about as easy as sticking your hair in pigtails and braiding them - literally. 'cause that's all you'll be doing. this hairstyle is a great way to disguise a bad hair day, or unwashed hair (so now you know that whenever i wear my hair like this, i haven't washed my hair recently) - much better than just throwing on a hat.

you'll want to be sure that you have those super thin rubber bands to secure the ends of your braids (i use these, you can find them at any pharmacy). i believe they also come in clear, for all you fair-haired ladies.

hope you find the tutorial helpful! let me know if you have any questions.

a little tutorial and a whole lot of blabbin'.

here's the beehive tutorial i've been promising. i didn't do it as high as in my secret santa or anna karina inspired post, but i think it's still perfect for daytime. i hope i was clear enough; my rambling can sometimes get the best of me. let me know if you have any questions or need clarification on my vague instructions. i'll be posting a tutorial on how i do my milkmaid braids later on, i promise that it's simplest hairstyle ever. hopefully i'll be able to curb some of my chatter next time.

ps: style clone did a little feature on my sideshow outfit post. be sure to check it out!

pps: is anyone else startled at first when they watch a video by another blogger? for some reason, i always expect the person to have a different voice than they actually do and it sort of freaks me out for a minute. hopefully you don't find my voice...freaky.

i'll stop now.
